Becoming Eligible - When to start and what to do and in what order?
So you may be interested in going to college in the USA to play tennis and continue your studies? When do you start exploring this pathway? We have a small pool of knowledge in Australia and as the landscape changes it’s our advice that you are allowing sufficient time to complete proper research and implementing good planning.
When to start?
Year 9 is the earliest and this is to ensure you are making the right core subject selection. Getting your best scores possible in Year 9 also help you in your later years.
Year 10 register for a NCAA Certification account at the eligibility centre to become familiar with all the tasks regarding your academic eligibility. Keep your focus on getting your best scores.
Year 11 take the SAT and send your scores to your NCAA Certification account. Start gathering all of your academic transcripts and track your core GPA score.
Year 12 re take the SAT if needed, send score to the NCAA, complete all the assigned tasks allocated from the NCAA, after you graduate send your certificate and final scores to the NCAA, check your dashboard to view your status.
